In 1996, Miss Karen started Kindermusik classes in Canton with 2 classes and a handful of students. Today we have a brand new studio and a team of 5 teachers who teach 15-20 classes a week with up to 200 students. We are proud to be a Kindermusik Top program. We also offer beginning piano lessons and special music camps.
Music matters. Our teachers are dedicated to bringing the joy, discovery, and magic of music into the life of every child. We are committed to changing the world, one child at a time. Music offers more benefits than sports, dance, and gymnastics. Music lasts a lifetime.
Our teachers all come from music backgrounds. We are all Kindermusik accredited and continue our professional development in the areas of music and child development. Miss Karen has also worked for Kindermusik International as a coach and curriculum writer.
Evola Music of Canton was our host since 1996. In that time, they have been extremely supportive of our programs, helping us become a Kindermusik Top Program. The Evola family decided to revise their business model and close that location. We are super excited to join Plymouth PARC, an amazing complex for arts and recreation organizations. This has been an incredible opportunity to grow and expand our program and offering, not to mention working with some awesome neighbors.
We are committed to a classroom that is clean and healthy for your family. Hand sanitizer, tissues, and anti-bacterial wipes are always available. Areas for changing diapers are located in the restroom. Masks and other COVID-19 precautions are based on Government mandates and are subject to change.
If you or your child is sick, please stay home to get better. You/your child should be fever-free for 24 hours and have no contagious characteristics (rash, drainage, etc.) We provide makeup class opportunities.
At the current time we only host online classes when a snow day is called. See our weather policies. Online classes are hosted on the password-protected Zoom platform and are not recorded. Families will be admitted from the waiting room. Please do not share links with anyone unless approved by instructor. Please do not take and or post pictures of online participants.
Generally we cap our studio classes at 10-12 families. Level Three and Kindermusik Musicians have a max of 8 students.
We have SIX different Kindermusik levels for ages 0-7, including a mixed age class for multiple ages and our new Kindermusik Musicians class for ages 5-7. We also offer beginning piano for ages 6+ and other special events.
Our teachers all have music backgrounds plus experience in teaching and early childhood education. Our program has been consistently named a Kindermusik Top Program. We've been a local community asset since 1996.
